Default Ceaser Creek Soaring

Yesterday I had the privilege of flying into the Ceaser Creek Soaring Club
(CCSC) in Ohio. I was going there in order to retrieve a "Traveling Trophy"
which goes back and forth between the Indiana club and CCSC. As soon as I
landed, I was graciously helped out by John and Linda Murray (Even though I
came in a Discus) and many others. They fed me, gave me a camper to sleep in
and a tow out on the way home this morning. I cannot thank them enough for
their hospitality.
If anyone ever has a chance to get over their and fly, their facilities,
without a doubt are some of the best in the nation. With their own, beautiful
grass runway, campground, and top of the line clubhouse, I never stop being
impressed with their club. It is a shining example of a place where families
can go to enjoy soaring, not just the "Boys club" that so many soaring sights
are. My hat is off to CCSC and everyone over there who is involved with it.
Remember they are hosting the Std. Class nationals next year, and I am looking
forward to flying for a week out of this great sight!

THANKS AGAIN, FOLKS!

Mitch,

Congrats on your retrieve of the Traveling Trophy. You can bet that right now
one of the CCSC gang is making plans to get it back!

I must echo your glowing praise of the entire CCSC organization. I have flown
many Region 6 races there and very much look forward to next year's Standard
Class Nats. I highly recommend the site.

Having flown a number of Wright Memorials and Region 6 contests at
CCSC, I can only second the opinions of the previous posters and add
that they organized a very successful youth soaring camp this summer,
during which they soloed three students. This club is actively doing
something to grow the sport by bringing in young kids at an early age
while other clubs strive to be exclusive country clubs with planes!
If it wasn't for that 5 hour drive....
