I'm impressed! Yes they did. But it's even neater than that. Sort of. If you create a google account and sign in (and you can use a Yahoomail or Gmail account for your return address, if you want) you still see the mangled email addresses. But if you want to send the author an email you can, you click on reply to author. The system never shows you his cleartext address but opens a web/email window, and sends your message. So the spambots can't get the addresses, and if you want to send a message to the author you can! But not if the author munged his address himself, as many do. Google does NOT direct bounces to the sender, (at least I never got one) so youdon;t know if your email got through or not. -- FF |

Having not received a reply or a bounce from my email to you, perhaps you could send an email to me, with an address to which I could send a check and my address for the CD? Dunno if I'm getting through or not. -- FF |

perhaps you could send an email to me, with an address to which I could send a check and my address for the CD? Dunno if I'm getting through or not. -- FF ---------------------------------------------------------- Hey Fred, I got your note on the 6th - came thru 5x5. And I did reply - same day, in fact. But I've not seen a reply to that one. The address I saw is I assume that is correct.... So I just now shot off another direct email via the google _reply to author_ thingie on todays message. See if that comes in, ok? Hoping for the best, Richard |
