Airnav had FTG at $2.99 so I called to verify supply. Turns out that
they dropped 100LL to $2.94 a gallon today. On the way back home the
plane flew nicer, the air was smoother and all was right in my world.

Wow, we're happy to be paying only $5/gal self-serve at SAC now. Cheap
gas!!

Still $4.38 at my home base, too. Haven't bought gas at home for
probably a year now. Most of my flying is cross country and I always
plan a fuel stop an hour or two out.

Paid over $6.00 a gallon a few weeks ago in Philadelphia. I was one of only
a few piston planes on the ramp, and most of the stuff there cost 10-20
times more than my plane.

King Air 200s were low end planes on that ramp.

It's interesting that the differential between avgas and mogas has
dropped from nearly $2 per gallon, to less than 75 cents per gallon.
Over time, it's averaged about $1.10 per gallon less, so either (a) the
price of car gas is being held artificially high, or (b) avgas is about
to go back up.

As an optimist, I'm voting for "a"...
