re. Nike Ajax
The Nike program, when it ended, provided a bunch of boosters for
sounding test rockets. A company that I worked for, in the late 50's, made what they called the Nike ASP. The Atmospheric Sounding Projectile was a sounding rocket on its own. Putting a Nike Ajax Booster under it provded the capability to reach higher altitudes and with a slghtly bigger payload. Dave: Old age comes at an inconventient time |
