Yep - basic trainer for the RAAF back then.


There's still around 78 of them on the Aussie VH register. (and goodness
knows how many in NZ)

Probably the only aircraft that was built by a lawn mower company.

Wasn't there a proposal to put it back into production? Can't remember
off-hand what it was to be called, but AirTourer or something....

I would have said that it was produced by a company that also built lawn
mowers. A bit like Transfield which also built bridges, but also produced
the Transavia Airtruk.

Nope. Transfield created Transavia as a subsidiary for the purposes of
building the Airtruk. That can be confirmed on the Transfield website,
under History.
