FS: Piper Side Window (New)

(For some reason this post, originally posted 8/4/03, doesn't show up
anymore, so I'm reposting.)

I have a new CLEAR pilot side window assembly that will fit any of the
aircraft listed below, asking $175. The price from Aircraft Spruce or Plane
Plastics for this assembly is approximately $250. I just received the glass
from LPAero on August 1st, 2003 and it's never been installed in an
airplane. The hinge and latch are factory originals from my plane, and the
hinge has been stripped and re-painted with almond colored epoxy-enamel. The
protective plastic covering has never even been fully removed from the
window, only peeled back far enough to install the hinge and latch.

The reason for selling is quite simple - I bought the wrong color. I've
always thought that the glass in my 79 Warrior was clear and didn't discover
it wasn't until yesterday when I pulled the old window out of the plane.
When the old and new windows were viewed side by side, the light gray tint
of my old glass was painfully apparent. As I put the new window assembly
together myself, I cannot return it to LPAero, but must find a home for it
instead. So I'm off ordering a new SOLAR GRAY window assembly and someone
has the opportunity to get a CLEAR window assembly at a good price.

The window still has the protective plastic attached and will be shipped in
the original LPAero box with all documents included. I will pay the
shipping for UPS ground in the continental US.
