Default LS8 Canopy Strut Replacement

I have a new gas spring from the factory for my LS8 canopy. Install looks fairly straight forward, but you never know... Has anyone replaced one of these recently? Are there any helpful hits? Or gotchas to avoid? I believe it’s the same for LS4 and LS6, so any insights on those should apply here too.

Thanks,

John S.

Canopy strut on my LS6 was an easy replacement job.

Raul is correct!
My LS6 canopy strut change was 20 minutes from closed trailer and bad strut to closed trailer with good strut. The 6 and 8 are very similar.
