Nice, wish it could have had some slide show buttons (next, back) though.

Hey, these are great!
I was particularly pleased to see not only the "sliced plane" photo but the
newspaper story with the background on that one.

Especially since some fool sent me the photo a couple years ago with a totally
false caption about a jealous husband and a chain saw...

Thanks, John, a great way to waste some time.

I noticed that in the second photo of the B-52 crash at Fairchild Air Force
Base (http://soltisplastics.com/oops/B-52crash2.jpg), it's pretty clear that
someone has just punched out. I was unaware that anyone got out. Since
there were no survivors
(http://s92270093.onlinehome.us/crmde...lue/darkblue.h
tm) I guess he was too low for his chute to open. The monograph referenced
above makes a fascinating study of an ego run wild. Too bad Holland took
three other people with him.

I've been told that the co-pilot had actually partially ejected when the
B-52 impacted the ground. What you're seeing in the photo is the co-pilots
hatch that has just been jettisoned as part of the ejection sequence.
