Default Reqest info P4M Mercator

I was one of the original 12 Naval aviators that received orders in
1951 that led to our flying the first P4M-1Qs to the Pacific Fleet and
then conducting electronic reconnaissance along the east coast of
Asia. I would like to contact anyone who was involved with the P4M
Martin Mercator in any way. I especially am looking for info on any
accident, however minor or any incident that involved enemy aircraft.
I will pay for duplicating any photos or movies that I do not already
have.

Did you see the story in "Naval History" a few issues ago about
a P4M that was shot down over the Soviet Union?

Only one known P4M loss in recon, and that was near the PRC coast south
of Shanghai in 1956. I believe 16 aircrew lost, with two bodies found by
a USN destroyer, and two handed over to the British by the PRC. 12 others
MIA.
