Default Reno Pix Are Up...again....

It was brought to my attention that the thumbnails for the race page
itself were all screwed up -- so here is the corrected version:

Very nice -- but the Fairey Firefly is still mislabeled as a Typhoon.

Dang, and I was going to fix that, too.

As usual, I got distracted, uploaded the pix, and left -- I'll have to fix
it tomorrow.

I want to dig into the Video Page update tomorrow, too. I've received some
new ones, and I've got a couple of links to crash analysis websites that
should be appropriate.

And I suppose, while I'm at it, a Rogue's Gallery update is due, too!

Well, let's hope business is so good that it takes you a while.

Well, let's hope business is so good that it takes you a while.

It's Big Ten football season around here, man. Through mid-November, life
is good.

After that, it's beans and weenies, while we finish up the next few
suites...

(We just finished the Lightning Suite, by the way, right before we left for
Reno. If you like P-38s, check out
http://alexisparkinn.com/the_lightning_suite.htm , or you can see all 12 of
the theme suites at http://alexisparkinn.com/theme_suites.htm . Shoot,
"only" 15 more to go!)

Thanks!

A question. What is the deal with the damaged wing on Nemesis?

I had to chuckle at the one picture of Rare Bear, with the caption, "It
looks fast just sitting there."

Why is that? Could it be because the prop span is about half of the wing
span? g

I enjoyed your story, too. Good job.

A question. What is the deal with the damaged wing on Nemesis?

He had a gear collapse on landing. I didn't see it happen, but it sounds
like a true mechanical failure, as they said it wasn't a hard landing.

The picture shows really minor damage -- a true tribute to the strength of
composite aircraft, eh? He has a gear collapse, and the only damage is to
a gear door and the wing tip...

(Well, of course, that beautiful race engine and prop are trash...)
