Default Blue Clouds

Just made an IFR flight using realweather in FS9. Cloud coverage was

A lot of the clouds had a blue/gray color to them while others looked
white.
I noticed also, in spot plane view, that when I changed the viewing
angle (when looking at the plane) the cloud color would change from
white to blue and back to white. I'm guessing that the angle at which
the sunlight was hitting the cloud had some effect on this.

My video card is a geforce fx 5600 ultra w/45.23 driver.

Are clouds supposed to be blue or is there an adjustment I can make?
Thanks.

Bob K

Are you telling me you've never seen clouds this colour in real life? You
definitely need to get out more... or just be more observant.
Never seen a Turner painting, either?

I'd guess it is all a trick of the light. I've seen skies where there are
multilayers of clouds, varying from white to blue to grey. If you live in a big
city, you're probably be familiar with that haze which is sometimes brown...

Tell you what. I once did a Google image search for "altocumulus" and got an
interestingly varied collection of results. All kinds of colours. Wierdest has
to be "altocumulus mammatus". There was one particular eerie Hollywood special
effect which I always thought was way OTT but this type of cloud really does
look like that. It's associated with storms and in more recent years, I've seen
it from my house, just before a big thunderstorm rolled in off the sea.
