Default AFSS speaking to the computer

Now that the AFSS requires you say
"Briefer.....California....Northern" I've run into problems. I've
found that on a noisy ramp the system just keeps saying "I'm sorry I
didn't understand that". Its really irritating. I've tried pressing
buttons but it does't work. Can I just directly dial my local FSS
briefer? I hate talking to the computer, even when I call my bank I've
found I can bypass the voice by pressing buttons.
