After being away from the groups for an extended period of time I have come
back to find Jay Honeck, as well as many other posters, are no longer
around. Anyone know why this and many of the other aviation groups seem so
dead???

A retarded asshole and wanna be dictator name Bertie the Buttlip, and his
small band of cronies has gone to great pains to make this group unlivable.
Jay being a very active and successful aviation enthusiast, became one of
Buttlipp's favorite targets. You know how miserable people often like to
spread it around, happy and successful people are often their favorite, but
certainly not only targets.

At any rate, if you intend to stick around, be prepared to kiss Bertie's ass
regularly, and over look his ****ing on any, and often every post he
chooses. You can search the archives for messages with the subject of
"Bertie's Stock Puppets and Supporters", and get some idea of who his "hay
boys" are, and the locals he has dupe in to believing he is a pilot. I spend
a little time farreting out the lamers a few month ago just for grins.

Best wishes, you can contact Jay at:

www.alexisparkinn.com or

to find out where he is posting these days. I think he has been sticking
with the moderated groups since Buttlip ran him off.

Funny you should ask! I found a pen with his Inn and numbers embossed
on it. He had been thru here and stopped for fuel. I have talked to
him a few times and asked how things were going. He is found over at
Pilots of America now. Said he got tired of the nonsense, name
calling, general decline of the quality of the NG. I feel the same way
and try to stay OT but at times its difficult.

Questions, Okie.

What is a "Stock Puppet? Is this some kind of new term you invented because
you never figured out what a 'sock puppet' was?

Why would anyone in their right mind want to search your old posts in the
first place, Maxie?

Try it on yourself, Maxie. Do you really think you are that hard to figure
out? You're nothing more than a wannabe that probably took a few lessons at
some point and when you tried to pass yourself off as a pilot in this NG,
you got your arse handed to you for your ignorance. You've never offered
anything of value to this NG other than entertainment as the village idiot,
and now you've simply been reduced to a cretin who tries to harrass anyone
who has called BS on you.

Why don't you tell the WHOLE story? Do you even know it, or are you just
throwing BS against the wall based on your ignorance?

Jay had gotten to the point to which he was treating this NG as his own
personal soap box. He developed an illusion that he was entitled to be king
of this NG and nobody could possibly disagree with him. A few people called
him on some of his rather pointless posts, so in protest he took down his
"rogues' gallery" or whatever he called it from his web site, which was a
place for some people to post aviation related pictures. It was his attempt
to try and "rally the troops" against his detractors. The result was even
some of his former supporters pointed out how lame and childish he had
become. The fact was, Jay's participation had been dropping off well before
any of the people he blamed had ever taken issue with his BS. In his last
ditch effort to pander to those he thought were his supporters, he promised
for days, if not weeks, that he was going to abandon the NG forever. He
sunk to a level of childishness that nobody could stand and when he got no
support he finally took his ball and went home. Good ridance.

Anyone with a modicum of ability with a newsreader can killfile the
trolls. Not responding to them helps, but the best tactic is to
concentrate on the group's subject by posting relevant material.

OB flight related content.
What is the justification for the USAF using gliders as part of the
flight training?

JJ

But there were too many on the group that just would not ignore the
posts of Bertie, MX, etc. If no one would respond, they would not have
received their satisfaction. BTW, Jay was a great contributor to this
and other NGs. Too bad there are not more with that much enthusiasm in
aviation and his professional life.

yes, mostly one can only find anonymous idiots here.
Killfiling them helps, but this only brings up a handful postings
afterwards.

Anyone know why this and many of the other aviation groups seem so
dead???

Many left.

BTW: if *serious* people need a real usenet access (not
google-groups-crap) they can have one for free at our newsserver.
