I did it while building a deck, and took a 10 foot header. It is

all of my back problems. Who knows.

Pilot sustained substantial damage when while maneuvering, departed
controlled flight. He subsequently impacted the terrain in a wooded
area. No flight plan was on file.

Weather was not a factor. Pilot error is not rulled out.

Been there, done that, still got the pin holes. It sucked.

I'm surprised you are even wondering. I'd venture that for sure your
back is objecting to the ten foot fall. Or rather, not the fall but
the impact.

Fortunately, I landed in a mulched area, and it was after a rain. Still, I
did hear a nice crunch. (In my head-I hate that)

The first significant problems did not start for a few years after the fall.
The doctors have all said that I have degenerative disc syndrome, and could
see no areas of traumatic injury. Still though, you have to wonder....

I read the profile on Skip in a recent issue of AOPA Pilot and was a

Gotta say, that like all these guys who turn pro, Skip Stewart does
this for the money. He needs money to pay his crew and money to
maintain his plane. He's a businessman, so's Sean Tucker, Patty
Wagstaff, and all the rest of 'em.

cheers
