Steve Fosset's belongings found (CNN link)
USA Today is reporting that the wreckage is his. No remains found yet, but the
description of the wreckage does not sound survivable. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/...-fossett_N.htm Vaughn "Bob Kuykendall" wrote in message ... This just up on CNN: ...A weathered sweat shirt, cash and a pilot identification card with Fossett's name were found Tuesday near Mammoth Lakes, police Chief Randy Schienle said. The ID did not have a photo, he said... http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/10/01/fos...ery/index.html |

Google Earth doesn't have enough resolution in the search area, but looking west of Mammoth Lakes at the 10,000 ft. level there's an odd feature at 37deg 37' 31.92"N, 119deg 01' 27.42"W. Airplane shaped, but too blurry to tell what it really is. |
