The USA Competition Committee has issued a waiver for the 2012
Standard Class National contest that authorizes a limited use of
handicaps. The waiver and specifics can be found at

Thumbs up to the Committe for giving this a try.

I like this idea to try and increase participation. I for one would
be MUCH more likely to compete in Standard Nats (vs Sports Nats) under
this waiver/rule ... next time they are held in Central US region.

Works for me ...

What is the difference between the Standard class and the 15 meter
class? Aren't they both 15 meters?

Yes both are 15 meter spans. Standard class has no flaps

C'mon now, lube your wheel bearings and drive to Montague.
Fabulous scenery, spouse-friendly town of Yreka, awesome
flying. You've got a couple days less driving than me !
And you don't even need to lug a full-size fuselage !
See you in Montague (has a nice ring, eh ?),
Best Regards, Dave "YO electric"

Thx for the push Dave. I'll make it out there someday ... and as far
as not having to lug a full-size fuse ... what the Genesis loses in
fuselage it makes up for in luxury cockpit size

Good luck out there!
