Default Static system solution

While replumbing my glider's static system, I got frustrated chasing down leaks in the myriad Tee connectors and joints. With the ASI, Altimeter, Transponder encoder and Cambridge 302 all on the system with two forward and two aft static ports, there were over thirty potential leak points. I did a little online search and found a pretty neat solution- a one inlet, six outlet tubing manifold. (It also comes in four, eight and twelve outlets.) Its purpose is an air supply splitter for the aerators in fish tanks. Cost was under six bucks delivered, and it works great! I cut out twelve tube junctions, and the installation is a lot cleaner.

The inlet tube is 3/8 inch and the outlets are 1/4 inch. I had to make an adapter for the inlet, but there are some available from McMaster. Mine is one piece, but you might have to thread a male/female pair together to get different tube sizes.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool:

Sounds like MM's hanger is a good place to take a leak--
or maybe a whole bunch of leaks
Kegeratoer anyone?
