You could always go to REI and get a set of down booties, but if you bailout they are not the best for walking. Leather Dubrry boots (kind of looks like Uggs) are warm light and not too bulky. Those boots are actually sailing boots, but I have put my feet in wet (wet socks, wet boots) in winter offshore and at the end of my watch my feet, socks and boots were dry.
The glider pilot shop, sells heated insoles . Stay warm and dry, Jon On Monday, November 28, 2016 at 5:46:12 PM UTC-8, Andrzej Kobus wrote: Please post your suggestions. I need something warm but not too bulky. Andrzej |

Andrzej Gerbings heated insoles: http://www.revzilla.com/gerbings-heated-gear-guide Instead of buying an expensive controller module, just buy the on/off switch. That is the system I use and it works very well. On/off switch: http://www.heatedclothing4u.com/all-accessories |

I have bought SkyBoots
http://www.streckenflug.at/shop/prod...oducts_id=1661 You step in with your normal boots. They look very bulky, but they will snug well into the cockpit, you'll actaually never feel them being on. Incredibly warm. |

Northface Thermoball Bootie. Has enough of a sole that you can walk short distances but not too bulky to fit in the rudder pedal bays of my -29. Replace the insole with a higher quality one such as Toasty Feet.

Gerbing makes good stuff and backs it up! I have a jacket, gloves,
pants, and socks and have ridden my bike at 5 degrees below zero. Still, at that temperature, my hands and feet get cold, though not my torso and legs. I bought my gloves at a Harley dealer and liked them so much, I bought the rest of the outfit direct from Gerbing. When my gloves failed, Harley said they're warrantied for 90 days. I called Gerbing and they said they'll back them up forever and promptly sent me a new pair of gloves ($150). The On/Off switch is all you need. I keep my automatic controller at full power most of the time. On 11/28/2016 7:16 PM, wrote: On Monday, November 28, 2016 at 8:46:12 PM UTC-5, Andrzej Kobus wrote: Please post your suggestions. Andrzej i bought cold weather camping slippers from LL bean, but they aren't very good in cold (winter weather) they are good at altitude in the fall. the problem with those is that the insole is sewn in, and you can't replace it with a heated one. i'm gonna look into the boots erik was talking about. |
