We have two dogs and the Labrador flatly refuses to move when the
vacuuming is being done, so we have to work round her and come back later
when she's moved. The German Shepherd, however, will rush off and hide
from the thing.

There's a lot she doesn't do! In fairness, she is a retired guide dog
for the blind, so she's done her fair share.
