Default Is there a psychiatrist in the house?

After some digging I think MX falls into one or both of these catagories. I
think there is more to his trolling than just being a jerk, there is a
serious disconnect going on here.

If I am on here I am wasting time anyway, it is all the same. What did this
take, 2 minutes total?

Personally, I would be far more interested in seeing a psychiatric
evaluation of guys like McNiccoll and Digera. They present a far more
complex and subtle rendition of mental illness -- and they may even be
real airmen.

No. It is the irrational, not the rational, who are ill.

Please be very careful with this. Borderline Personality Disorder is one of
the most horrendous things I have ever seen. Note the borderline is not
between normal and ill, it's the border between psychotic and neurotic.
"Fatal Attraction" is a fairly good portrayal of BPD, except for the rather
corny ending. They originally shot several endings for that movie, one with
Glenn Close setting up Michael Douglas to be convicted of murder, or some
such crime.

As someone who lived through something very close to the movie (without all
the niceties of an affair), I can tell you that BPD is nothing to toy with.

You see? He even *sounds* like a real airman.

But we are all irrational at times. Human behavior exists along a continuum.
Most people behave somewhere along the center of this continuum and are judged
to be normal. It's the fringes where we judge someone to be ill... but the
margins can be somewhat arbitrary.

My dog told me this stuff so I know it's true. G
