Oct. 8, 2007 (Bloomberg) -- Garmin Ltd., the biggest U.S. maker of car
navigation devices, climbed as much as 5.1 percent on speculation the
company may be bought by Microsoft Corp.

During a conversation with an "avionics insider" at OSH this summer, he
mentioned that some of the major senior partners at Garmin where considering
retiring or moving on to new projects outside of Garmin. He thought that
Honeywell already knew of this and could be interested.
