Michael's in Australia - perhaps it was April 2 there? And it does look
good. Finally, a side by side self-launching sailplane that doesn't cost
several years income.

Yes, at E 70,000, sounds reasonable (though years of my income FWIW). More
interesting for the bulk of the soaring community, I think, is what Michael
suggests could be gained by leaving the engine out -- how much could the
price drop and the useful load increase?

The prototype starts flight testing this week, the manufacturer expects
to have certification and aircraft for sale in just over 12 months....
He has hinted that we might get it to Oshkosh this year.
