Last fall I bought a Garmin Etrex for about $80, which
seems
to produce perfectly good flight traces. You could
actually
navigate with it, but we use our Garmin 196 for that,
but the
196 does *not* produce usable files, since it tends
to break
the flight up and miss parts of it.
