Default EGT installation

I have an EGT gauge and sensor arrangement that came out of a Jabiru.
I want to install it in my Sonerai.
What distance from the Exhaust port should I drill the hole for the sensor
probe?

Generally, not further than 2" from the exhaust port.

Hey, Andre, was the Dyno mount too complicated---It's only useful to compare
changes in carb, timing, different props, etc.

Hey Jerry, I'm still in the planning stages.
I'm busy constructing my engine mount for my engine overhaul and my plan is
to modify this engine mount with the necessary bearings etc. so that it
serves the dual purpose as my out of aircraft working engine stand as well
as a Dyno to see the effects of my efforts.

Thanx,
Is it possible to mount it too close?
