German registered glider : 3000h inspection, allowed to do it ?
On a German registered glider.
Has anyone been allowed by the LBA or his local Pruffer to carry out the 3000 hours (or 6000h) inspection himself ? What was the concerned glider ? I'm not talking about major or important repairs (if there are any needed), but about the inspection + replacement of parts. Leaving out any consideration of "having the skills", or "it would be safer to take the ship to a certified workshop", "..." : - Is it possible (as in "legal" or "authorized by the LBA") to carry out the inspection ? - Has any one done it himself + been approved by his LBA prufer ? which glider was it ? Thanks for your feedback, Ludovic |
