Softie parachute EASA type certificate
Hi!
I am looking for an EASA type certificate, or a national type certificate from any EASA country, for a Long Softie parachute. Any European Softie owner or reseller out there who can help me? Thanks in advance, Björn Regnström Gothenburg Gliding Club, Sweden |

Softie parachute EASA type certificate
Hi Bjorn,
I'm a Softie dealer in the USA. Have you asked Para-Phernalia directly? They are at: However, they seem much easier to reach by phone at: 1-360-435-7220. Softie parachute EASA type certificate
Hi Paul,
I have written three times and phoned once. The person I talked to was helpful but with the not entirely correct idea that the FAA certificate would be accepted. As far as I understand the current situation, FAA type certificates are accepted in the sense that an EASA type certificate can be issued based on the FAA one, but there is an administrative procedure to go through that is not free of charge. There is no Swedish type certificate for Softie parachutes, but thanks to EASA all I need is either an EASA type certificate or one from another EASA country, so if somebody, like a European Para-Phernalia agent or so, has already done this I hope can get a copy of the type certificate and avoid the hassle and the cost. The minimum of information I need would be the name of an EASA country where the Softie is certified. I could then contact the CAA in question and get a copy of the certificate. Beaurocracy, just spelling it is almost impossible... Björn On 25 Jan, 18:37, "Paul Remde" wrote: Hi Bjorn, I'm a Softie dealer in the USA. Have you asked Para-Phernalia directly?
