Just a few minutes ago, NHC updated the forecast for Ivan to strike Fort
Myers.

For the sake of everyone in Florida, I hope they are wrong. The current
predictions of a couple of the models show it going right up the center of
Florida. That would be a really devastating blow to an already crippled state.

People are waiting 90 minutes for Subway without bitching. People are
stopping at intersections were the signal lights are down and waving others
through first. It's surreal but it's nice (for however long it lasts).

We had gusts in the 40-50mph range early on Mon. morning here in the Atlanta
area. I took the precaution of checking up on the the Wright machine's hauler
trailer the day before. Iit is now tied down to 4 ballast blocks weighing 160
lbs each. That pretty much keeps it from rocking enough to blow over any more.

I checked up on everything last night and the trailer and plane weathered the
storm without a scratch. That makes two hurricanes now... I was in Raleigh
for an airshow last year when we got hit by Isabel.
