Must be fake - I can't see any stars in the background ;-)

NOTE: See the :-) above? It's there for a reason.

On a more serious note, I'm impressed 1 second hand held exposure??!!

yessir...
braced my elbows on the seat arms and held my breath... if you were able to
look at the
large original file and blew it up to 100% you'ld see the blur. It's one of
those times I wish I
had taken a small tripod... I'll know for next time.

Thanks Alan...
it's been years since I've been to the Cape.. and it's just 50 minutes to
get there. I must go during a rollout day... that would be awesome...

Hurry - the last shuttle flight will be before May, 2010; then there'll be a
five year gap before that monstrosity (Ares 1) comes out of the VAB for the
first time.

Glen,

I am amiss as to the meaning of this photo in relation to the Apollo
Astronauts.

Please explain.

SWB...
One of the stops on the KSC tour is the Apollo building. Awesome. The
no-kidding original launch control center is housed there and the
presentation is fantastic. Using old film footage, integrated with working
lights and controls, they take you thru the last few minutes prior to launch
of Apollo 11. Once that is complete you enter the display room. You are
immediately confronted with a REAL Saturn 5 (on it's side) which spans the
full length of the building.. it is awe inspiring (if was built for a
mission that never flew).
There is a show that is presented in a theater in that building, a mixture
of film, and full scale models that decend from the ceiling, or rise from
the floor, that simulates/recreates the Apollo 11 moon landing. That is
were I took this shot (it's supposed to be Armstrong standing on the moon).
Fun show.

take care
