Isn't IA: Inspector, Aircraft? As in A&P w/ IA?

Congrats! I would love to read about your (and others) experience on
getting the instrument rating. I am a new private pilot and I am just
starting to build up cross-country hours. Towards the end of summer I
will start instrument training.

It sometimes is. However, it's also "Instrument-Airplane".

Funny you could have the rating on your own certificate and not even notice
that.

Congrats...

It feels pretty good getting that out of the way, doesn't it? I took mine
last month - but I was a wreck up until I took it. I was studying, working,
my flight instruction... it was too much. After I passed the written, I
felt like a had more time to focus on studying for the oral/practical.

The practical should be a piece of cake for you too... just keep telling
yourself that you know what you're doing and you'll do great.

That is a VERY good score. I think the IFR written is one of the
hardest to pass. However, passing the check ride is even more
important.

Thank's, I will let you all know in a few weeks the outcome of that. I am
taking the accelerated route that's how I learn & retain the best. I also
really love flying airplanes.
