Default SimplyKool Metallic Canopy Covers

Hi,

About 6 months ago the manufacturer of the very popular Canopy Caps became
unable to continue production. I hope they will be back in business in the
future.

I have now found a very nice alternative source for very similar products
here in the USA - the SimplyKool Metallic Canopy Covers. They are very
similar to the Canopy Cap products, but better in some ways. They use an
elastic drawstring to set the fit - which makes them able to accommodate a
wider variety of canopies. You set the drawstring once and never need to
adjust it again. They are available in both silver and gold colors. The
price is the same as the Canopy Cap. You can see details he

Paul,

I like the new gold color. You might want to start stocking the
matching pants for those fashion conscious pilots out there. Everyone
knows how important it is to have pants that match your canopy cover.

Paul,

Any idea if this will fit the long DG type canopies?

Hi John,

Good question - They are ramping up the number of sailplanes for which they
have patterns. So far they don't list any DG sailplanes.

But they are willing to work with customers to create new patterns. You can
see details on that he
http://www.cumulus-soaring.com/simpl...t_Listed_Above
It involves taking some measurements and supplying photos. It is possible
that they might not get it perfect on the first try - in which case you
would need to ship it back to them along with details on how to improve it.
But the use of the elastic drawstring makes the design quite accommodating.
