Turns out that another unexpected benefit of being a glider pilot is that you're thoroughly prepared for coronavirus. Got the oxygen set, the oximeter, the N95 masks and nitrile gloves from the last time you did fibreglass work ...all set :-)

It's strange to see how few COVID-19 tests have been done in
America; stranger still to learn that the official US CDC test kits
have "issues" (read "issues" as: perhaps don't work reliably).
Other countries must be doing hundreds of tests each day?
Be nice to know tests were being done in the US and that the
results found to be negative.
If you don't do the tests how can you know what is going on? As
you say time to look out those masks and gloves.

You could consider washing your hands more frequently and have hand sanitizer in your car, use liberally.
Take a zinc supplement and vitamin C.. Unfortunately many glider pilots are OLD and in some cases immunocompromised...the exact group at most risk for all viruses.

Could that mean, that potentially some quality, used gliders are becoming available? ;-)

I need to start saving faster, I thought we were going to have to wait until the 'day of the pillow' for increased selection and lower prices on used gliders.
