This view was taking in june 1977 near Djibouti, during PassEx between FS
aircraft carrier Clemenceau and this TF (2 HMAS and 1 HMZAS). This ship was
going to England for honor the QE2.

I still hear sometimes the sound of an A-4 passing overhead as
they visit from the RNZAF to do Airshows at HMAS Albatross (Our
Naval Air Station) and while here must do "Kippy rides" (I
guess) around the region here in Oz (Southern NSW).

As a young Naval Cadet I spent 10 days onboard Melbourne and
managed to get a fairly good look around including sleeping
next to a bloody hatch on a fold out rack that I'm sure dated
from her commissioning in WWII!
