Default 180 HP Pawnee STC

Do any of you know who holds the STC for the conversion of the Pawnee from 150 to 180 HP? Information would be greatly appreciated. Bob

Getting a field approval these days would be nearly impossible. From what I have been able to gather there was a STC on that conversion. I have a 150
Pawnee that I would like to convert to 180. I thought that the Jeff Cloud Pawnee was done through a STC not a field approval.

No STC in FAA listings. If it existed it's gone. Getting field approval based on prior field approvals is doable, but don't spend any money til you have an IA line it up with FSDO FIRST.

Bob, STC must have been withdrawn. It was approved in Canada based on US STC#SA01197CE.

If you can find and obtain all the drawings &c. from that STC, it's certainly enough for a field approval. Owise, field approval based on prior field approval is doable. Just don't buy anything until you have IA or even DER line it all up. FSDO's just don't have the budget/manpower/expertise they did 40 years ago.

By the way, are you using a climb prop with the 160? 50" pitch or...?
