New information about new soaring video
Hi,
I have just updated my videos web page with more detailed information about the extra features that will be included on the new Sailplane Grand Prix in the Andes DVDs and Blu-ray discs. I like that they added several new additional features that were created just for us glider pilots. You can see details he http://www.cumulus-soaring.com/video...ilplaneGPAndes The cinematography is awesome! It will be available sometime in December. The pre-sales have been very strong already. New information about new soaring video
Paul,
I followed the link to Vimeo and HD clarity looks incredible. I am a huge fan of soaring video's and this one looks like it could be the best yet. I will be placing my order for this one next month. Thanks for the heads up. Blake S. Miller |

Paul, I clicked the vimeo link and agree with you, the HD is awesome...the best I have ever seen. However, I don't have a blu-ray player. If I order the DVD version, will the resolution be substantially the same on my computer monitor (24" LCD) as the vimeo clip? Thanks, Michael |

New information about new soaring video
Hi Mike,
Well, that depends on how you viewed it on the Vimeo web page. If you select "HD" viewing and view it in full screen mode, it will be at 1920 x 1080 pixels (if your screen supports that resolution). The DVD version will probably be at 720 x 480 pixels. The cinematography is still fantastic, and it will look like regular TV resolution that you are used to. I have 3 options for you to consider. - Buy the DVD version and live with the same resolution you are accustomed to on your TV. - Buy a Blu-Ray player for your TV (you'd need an HD TV too). They are available for about $100 to $200 or so. - Buy a Blu-Ray player for your PC or Mac (assuming your PC or Mac supports 1920 x 1080 pixels and is fast enough to play HD content). I have already sold many of both the Blu-Ray and DVD versions of the new film. It's a great film at any resolution - but to get the full effect you really need HD.
