Default No Original Bill of sale.

I've been having a problem finding what I need to present to the FAA.
They say you need the original bill of sale, but there never was one.
Just an invoice stating price, what was there, and method of payment.

I have a bill of sale from the estate and the original invoice.
What do I need to satisfy the FAA?

I know the FAA is talking about changing this but to me, either seem a
bit ridiculous. Why in the case of a kit, which is a pile of parts
and in the case of the G-III a *lot* of raw materials from which you
make parts, do they require a bill of sale and not for a scratch built
where you have to make that pile of parts. To me it makes no sense.

Now I can understand why the state wants a bill of sale as I have to
pay sales tax, but the feds don't get any money except the
registration fee and that is not based on what I or the original
purchaser paid for the box of parts.

Well, Rog, write yourself a "bill of sale", at some reasonably low
price.

Might make the tax man happy too?
