Default McCullough Two-Stroke Relaibility

I heard someone here not too long ago mention a reliability problem with the
old McCullough two-strokes as used in the drone aircraft.

The same person also mentioned that there are modifications to address those

I wonder if that poster could jump in and give me the scoop on that. I have
a friend who is putting on of these Macs into a motorglider and any
first-hand info would be greatly appreciated.
