Free yEnc plugin for Outlook Express
Ok... I'm not interested in getting into a fight over this yEnc crap. Up
front.. I think that those who insist on posting in that format have personal issues beyond what will ever be understood here. With that said... http://www.mutexed.com/code/OeyEnc/ will provided a download for a FREE OE plugin that will seemlessly allow you to view yEnc posts. Once you download and install the version you need (there's a 32 and 64 bit version) you will need to close Outlook express. You will notice a new shortcut on your desktop. That will restart OE with the yEnc decoder enabled. If you don't want to enable yEnc decoding then start OE in any manny that you are currently using... hope this helps some of you out there... tailwinds Glen in Orlando |

I think that those who insist on posting in that format have personal issues beyond what will ever be understood here. Thaty's truly hilarious in view of the frothing at the mouth I';ve read from some of the anti-yEnc crowd. And it ignores everything I said. I posted in it because that's what PowerPost uses these days. I was not and am not on a jihad. I was not even aware of the yEnc controversy because I only download pictures from this group--I don't read discussions (until this week, at least!). Now please explain just what you think my issues might be, based on that. Then perhaps you can explain why not one single yEnc opponent could nicely say "would you please post these in UU encoding?" There always had to be an added snide comment, or going on about what "the group has decided", or whatever. Even the original response to me from Maple ! was not exactly kind, though to be fair, he had no way of knowing that I was unaware of the issue. The Internet is often an uncivil place. But I view it sort of like living in New York City, where abrasiveness is met with abrasiveness, and people survive anyway because it is the expected mode of interaction. Just remember, though, at least where I'm concerned, I do give as well as I get, and I simply won't be bullied.. |

Free yEnc plugin for Outlook Express
It is not a plug-in for OE, It encapsulates it and OE becomes a slave to it.
In other words you have no idea what it is doing with your OE data. It also captures the OE extension so if you start OE by itself other problems occur like you cannot open extensions. In my opinion it is not a safe way to run my system.... "Glen in Orlando" wrote in message ... Ok... I'm not interested in getting into a fight over this yEnc crap. Up front.. Multiple post solution - Free yEnc plugin for Outlook Express
Hello,
Just Plane Noise a écrit : I posted in it because that's what PowerPost uses these days. I have a PowerPost version which, as far as I know, doesn't use yenc. I sent my Duxford series with it, ans it seems OK. If some finds that it could be useful... just say Bye -- D520 Roundels of the World : http://cocardes.monde.online.fr |

I use it with no problems, but it does not decode all yEnc - only some of
it. yEnc is not yet standardized. Also, yEnc is for porn. "Woody" wrote in message . net... It is not a plug-in for OE, It encapsulates it and OE becomes a slave to it. As I've said, I went yEnc when PowerPost upgraded, not even knowing that I was doing it. It wasn't until I saw my attachments on in this group within the last few days that I realized how cool it was--I can post about three times as many pics in the same space. Since I only intend to post once a year because Oshkosh is the only aviation event I attend, that's very useful because I don't have to spread out my posts over weeks. Any body who complains about 30 or 40 pics from me as being a flood had better complain about non-yEncers who post 10 or 15. |

Free yEnc plugin for Outlook Express
I tried this plugin just for grins the other day and for some reason, I was
no longer able to open attachments in regular OE. I uninstalled and everything was back to normal. Might just have been my system but just a word of caution for whoever tries it.
