Has anyone a good Puchacz Polar ?

I need to generate a polar file to use in the Winpilot.

There's no such thing as a good Puchacz polar.

Hi,

Below are the numbers I use with Glide Navigator II. They are not the same
format as required by WinPilot but they may be helpful. They are
conservative numbers, but don't come looking for me if you land out... The
L/D is supposed to be more like 34:1.
Puchacz
Liters of Ballast: 0
Dry All-up Weight: 499 kg
Max L/D: 30
Velocity of Best L/D: 85 kph
Velocity @ 2 m/s Sink: 140

Below are data for Puchacz in GPS_LOG WinCE format (available at
http://www.soaringpilotsoftware.com). Data pairs are speed [km/h] sink
[m/s]. I am not the originator of the data, so do not ask me
questions.

*******
For the benefit of the archives and future perusers, I paste
Stephane's reply here - it works as described (simply save the
file in the folder used for synchronising files - often on your
PC's desktop) and the numbers are easily adjusted if required,
from inside Winpilot:
jk
*******

Try this:

*Puchacz WinPilot POLAR file: MassDryGross[kg],
MaxWaterBallast[liters], Speed1[km/h], Sink1[m/s], Speed2, Sink2,
Speed3, Sink3
550,0,80,-0.72,120,-1.33,180,-3.75

Copy in a text editor (should be two lines, with hard return
after
"sink 3"), save as text file "puchacz.plr.txt", remove the ".txt"
extension, upload in your PDA.

As yet untried, but better than nothing. The data are taken from
the
performance table in the German flight manual.
