Default Pawnee User's Group?

Does anybody know of a net based Pawnee user's group? If not, with so
many being used for towing and so much difficulty with parts, support and
information, this type of group would be a real service to the sport.

Roy,

I checked www.gliderformus.org and and, while it has groups for most
glider types I can think of, it doesn't currently seem to have any
groups talking about Pawnees -- or any other tow planes for that matter.
I'm sure Al Mac Donald, who runs the site, would be open to the idea of
starting one.

On another matter, I thoroughly enjoyed operating out of Gardner
yesterday, even though it was a rather marginal day. In my nearly three
hours in the air, all quite close by, I saw essentially no traffic in
the vicinity of the VOR. My fantasy would be to smooth and widen the
grass strip on the west side of the runway as a takeoff runway for
gliders and using the southernmost grass island between the runway and
taxiway for landing gliders.

Perhaps we could move some part of our operations there during the very
busy spring period. For example the trainers might go from there and
the glass XC crowd launch from 3BE, or vice versa.

Thanks again for arranging the club's stay there these last two weekends.

Al
