Default April AZ soaring?

Just wondering if a guy was going to take a week or two at end of April for some early season soaring in AZ, 1) how is the soaring that time of year and 2)what would be the best place to fly (best potential for XC flights and a place that is friendly to private gliders, lodging nearby or bunk house at glider port).
