Default Camera mount for Diamond DA-40?

I remember reading somewhere that there was a camera mount mod that
went under the nose of the Diamond DA-40, but I can't find it anywhere
-- not even Google. Anyone know what I am talking about?

On a single-engine plane, I suspect that the prop would interfere too much
with such a camera, if one goes to the length of mounting it outside.

On the other hand, a twin could work much better, and Diamond have done
some work in this area already:

What kind of camera? I wouldn't stick a camera right in the prop blast,
but a small plastic bracket and some double-sided sticky pads work
really well for mounting small video cameras (they use them on racing
motorcycles which is a very harsh environment for any camera mounting,
and they stay stuck on just fine. The fairings of the racing sidecars
are made from the same stuff as a DA-40). I've also found duct tape
works well for small video cameras.

Talk to the local FAA (or your local equivalent about
mounting a camera before you fly with anything just attached
with tape. Anything that falls off the airplane could be a
hazard to people on the ground and you must take
precautions. How will you control the camera?

With video, you don't. You set the recorder going before takeoff and
hope you have enough tape in the recorder to last the duration.

Of course you should talk to your local aviation authorities before
doing it. Perish the thought of just going out and doing it! However, if
it stays on a motorcycle sidecar outfit during a 55 minute road race, it
will stay on a light plane.

If it's a still camera, then there's an issue of control. The
agricultural way we did it once was to make a camera box which contained
not only the camera, but a servo and receiver for a radio controlled
plane. The aircraft's occupants could press a button on the transmitter,
and the servo would press the button on the camera.
