Default Vc gear fixed!

I would like to thank everyone who made suggestions regarding the difficulty in both raising and lowering the gear on my Ventus C.
Turns out the culprit was the castle nut on the axel was way too tight. I loosened it to only hand tight and installed a new pip pin (sp?) Works like it was designed to do.
Again - thanks for all the suggestions.

"Pip pin" is correct. "Axel" is not. An "axle" is a shaft used to locate and contain a rotating mechanism.

An "axel" is a jump in skating with a forward takeoff from the forward outside edge of one skate to the backward outside edge of the other, with one and a half turns in the air.

And you probably installed a cotter pin, not a pip pin.

Just sayin'

Next time on the ice , will try that; this must be the root of the word axeleration,
meaning speeding up rotation.

Acceleration, exhilaration, exceleration (nonexistent word), who cares. People will use them interchangeably.

Like: to, too, two, there, their, they're, lose, loose, your, you're, bow (in it's many pronunciations and definitions) and so on.

And I won't even start on the poor misguided apostrophe. Let's just say that some parts of the country must be suffering a shortage, since so many extras are being misused in Moriarty.

Moriarty... Isn't that where the tooth brush was invented?

Thanks to John May for suggesting the correct fix,
and also to Phoenix for confirming it to the group.
