Default CAI 302 A

I have had an in-flight failure with this unit.
It showed at first no GPS. I restarted it and it would work ok
for 5-7 minutes. then the same again.
The next day it would not acquire a GPS signal at all but
gave a message something about com port 6 or 9, I do not remember which. I
tested the PDA and the wire harness on my
main unit a 302. it worked fine.
Any one had similar problems with any of the 302 products?
Regards
Udo

It sound like either the antenna itself (very rare), the cable from
the 302A to the antenna, or the pre-amp. I'm not sure offhand if the
302A antenna has an internal active pre-amp, or if it's in the the
302A. If you can borrow another antenna (and cable, since they come
as a unit) from someone with a 302A, you can at least narrow the
problem down to being either inside the box, or outside.
Hopefully it's just the antenna and not something internal.
My 302A has worked flawlessly for more than 300 hours of use over 2
years time.
