Hey Kilo Kilo - if this is the KK I know, it feels like Blairstown all over
again. Thick skins required for entry. Tim, I never got to know you but we met up on Harris Hill when you were first starting the business out. Fact is you sold me some tape or something that didn't work that well in my opinion but you were selling the heck out of it. Good job! The key is, you stuck with it and became one of the key guys in soaring supplies. Thanks! Foureyes "KiloKilo" wrote in message oups.com... Tim is blessed ... he is a great guy as we all know and has friends across the country ... many who probably never met him. He used to go to a couple of meets a season .... competing or selling stuff ... and it was always great to hang with Tim. However, over the last few years, he has become something of a hermit ... running his business 14 x 7 from his basement office ... never going to meets anymore. He really has sounded burnt-out and borderline bitter the last few times I have talked with him ... I hoped my trolling would elicit some supportive comments to remind him how much he is liked in the community ... that he should get out ... go to a few meets next season ... and meet old and new friends again. Merry Xmas, Tim. |

Class! Happy Holidays, Bryan "Tim Mara" wrote in message ... Thanks for all of you who have jumped to my support both on RAS and privately......! You fine comments are certainly appreciated....it does one's heart good to hear that what I've done has been appreciated... but please, before coming down on "kilo kilo" too hard, I know his comment was in gist and probably should have said so, but it wasn't malicious.....KK is actually a very good customer and ....I hope also a friend as well. KK has called and emailed me personally to be sure I knew, what was, as I suspected not meant to be inflammatory and that his comments were not taken wrong... Again, my most appreciated and heartfelt thanks go out to all who have commented.... best regards Tim Mara Wings & Wheels "Jack" wrote in message m... KiloKilo wrote: The local morning news looked at how trustworthy americans viewed people based on occupation. After reading your post I can see that you are not a member of that "trustworthy" group, whatever that means in the context of such a poll. Character, good judgment and restraint are required, I would expect. Since you don't bother to use your real name here and Tim does, a point goes to Tim. Since Tim doesn't disparage others on an open forum, but you do, that's another point for Tim. Tim provides a service to the soaring community far beyond any that I see you doing, so you lose again. Tell you what, KK, let me know what business you're in and I guarantee I'll not darken your door with money in my hand. But I do intend to do business again with Tim Mara. Jack |

Foureyes (4Is),
Hey, I remember that tape, I'm sure Tim does too, but he had a return for exchange/refund no-questions-asked policy ... just like he does now. So, don't you regret selling your LS-6 and getting out of the sport ... look at all the fun your missing. I've been posting to this group for almost a decade but I'm now called anonymous ... oh, well. Maybe you can bring that Maule up to a contest and give us a tow. Happy Holidays to you and Alicia. KK |

Sometimes I do regret giving the '6 up. But I regret leaving you guys even
more. Ripping each other to shreds each week kept all those egos in check - along with landouts and beer. It was the best of times at any airport I've ever been too.... and I live on one now! We both miss you and the crew. Say Hi and let us know about the next contest in the spring and we'll show up! ...sans hook Happy Holidays to you and Karen (we hope) and yours! BTW, Tim, if KK says you need to get out more, don't worry, he never knew what he was talking about. But everyone in this overly tight thread already knows that. Ken,
Some people get things confused. "I" am not ignorant; therefore "you" must be anonymous. I assumed that Blairstown angst was a byproduct of UM's need for constant entertainment. Did I have it all wrong? Was Dave a product of Blairstown and not the other way around? Der Kreis ist unversehrt!!!!
KK - glad to see you are still able to throw rocks in the hornet's nest & come out "un-stung". 4I - I have been "out" of soaring going on 4+ years. But, not a day goes by where it doesn't cross my mind. Weekends spent w/ you guys @ Blairstown, Watson's task de jours and the kind & gentle way we would refer to each other -are among my fondest memories! Tim - KK has referred to me as "Pudnocker", "Scoundrel", "A worthless piece of Swamp Slime" & "The worst excuse for a competition pilot ever to step into a glider"...its just his way of saying "Hi!" & "I wish I was as good as you @ this sport"...oops, probably shouldn't have written that last part....;-) Kudos guys - long time, so see... It should be noted for the record that KK did not, in fact, come away
without injury from his heinous and ill considered blast. It has been reported that he is once again grounded due to his inability to walk to his lovely, but lonely ASW-27. This inability is apparently due to damage caused by "big footie" stepping on "little willie" causing crippling pain. Sadly, not the first time this has happened. U Momma- good to see that the medication is finally working. UH UMomma wrote: Der Kreis ist unversehrt!!!!
