Default Aerobatics Course June 3 - 9 Toronto Area

York Soaring (www.yorksoaring.com), will be hosting it's third annual aerobatics course 3rd to 9th of June 2013. York is located ~60 miles NW of the Toronto International airport. The course is provided by Canadian aerobatic instructors from SOSA and York and is open to members from other clubs as well. The number of students is limited by the number of instructors so please contact us as early as possible if you plan to attend.

The course combines ground briefings, in class lectures, student notes, and in air maneuvers in the K21, DG500, SGS 232(advanced spins and stalls), and Grob 103 acro for some of the unusual attitudes section.

The training is broken down into sections to allow individuals to progress from one stage of training to another.

Section 1: Unusual Attitudes (~6 flights)
Section 2: Basic Maneuvers (~10 flight, Pre-requisite is section 1)
Section 3: Combination Maneuvers (Pre-requisite is section 1 and 2)
Section 4: Aerobatic Sequences (Pre-requisite is section 1 and 2)
Section 5: Aerobatic Instructor Rating (typically for returning participants and valid as an endorsement only on a Canadian license)

Camping is available on-site at York including full washrooms, showers, and kitchen facilities to help reduce the costs for our out of town guests, or B & B's are located nearby. Participants will be charged for flights at regular club rates and visiting pilots will pay a small visiting membership fee ($100 for entire week or $20 per day). A reciprocal Canadian license will not be required unless flying other club ships solo. For more information, contact:
