Mitchell, you were/are a regular contributor to
alt.binaries.pictures.aviation

Do you know what's happened to that newgroup ? BT Internet seems to have
lost it ( British Telecom ).

Thanks for any info you can give us.

Paul

You may want to look at www.teranews.com , they carry a.b.p.aviation as well
as a.b.multimedia.aviation and, of course, thousands of other groups.
They offer a "free" account (free but for a one-time US$3.95 setup fee)
which allows 50mb of downloads per day, or greater amounts per day for a
monthly fee depending on how much one wishes to pay. For example, at $7.95
per month I have a 250mb daily limit. I won't go into all the options, that
information is available on the web site, but I've been a subscriber for
nearly three years and have no complaint with the service.

You got me there. I've only seen one done :-)

South Florida conditions allow one to thermal pretty easily after a T&G.
They like doing ridge top T&Gs at Harris Hill in Elmira NY.

I'm curious, what site did you see this at? UK?

I've never had the fortitude to touch the wheel. One day's genius is
tomorrow's ?

No they aren't. My CFIG instructor was an absolute genius in the aircraft.
After all the activity died down late on a Sunday night, he'd take me up for
one last flight. We'd come SCREAMING down final near to redline, touch it,
pull up, do a reversement, touch it again, pull up, do a reversement and
land.

I've never had the intestinal fortitude to show a student more than one,
much less two.

yeah, but they still landed silently. Glider landings aren't news....
glider touch and go's are. Wish I had some MPEGs of that!

Mitchell, thanks for the info. Maybe we need to keep badgering BT to bring
it back

Ron, thanks very much for that. I'll check out Teranews later, it seems
pretty good value.

Regards,

Paul
