Default New Castle Day 3 Thee winds and surprize guests # 711 reporting

This mornin around 3 am the winds picked up, and at 8
am or so, 3 took off for a 1000 k day. One came back, and 2 landed out,
one about 200 miles away. But for us, we got a 3 turn TAT, about 500
plus K won the day. Several were over 100 mph. Some bumps, and a good
time for most. Maybe one more late landout. No water day, so rides were
sometimes hard, with gear dropping and really no time to do your
duty's. That's ok, as this is what we came here for......er, not to do
your duty.
Surprize is Kerry of Uvalde fame showed up. It was good
seeing her. Of course, the day was colder than normal, and someone lent
her a jacket. When we chatted, see confirmed Uvalde will continue its
contests, and that news brought smiles to all.
Tonight is low country boil, last night , Cole Franz,
put on a great Chinese spread for us. Scores and CD's report should be
up at the SSA web site shortly.
Thermal tight, Soar high, Fly safe. # 711 reporting.
