Blue Angels wreak "despair and horror"
"C J Campbell" wrote in message ... "Mark" wrote in message ... This is a hoot. From the Seattle Times, August 9, 2004 Another fine member of Baghdad Jim McDermott's constituency. This precious individual and others like her have written virtually identical letters to the Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer every year since the Blue Angels started performing at Seafair. Sometimes they also complain about the poor animals that must suffer from the fear and terror provoked by these airplanes. Mercer Island (pop. 22,500), of course, has always been one of the most expensive neighborhoods in the Puget Sound region. Median household income in 2000 was $91,904. The median home was $573,900. It is almost 90% white, with most of the rest being Asian, blacks making up only 1%. Naturally, it is home to many of these spoiled rich kids who are very concerned about how America oppresses minorities and third world countries, even while they enrich themselves in their cloistered and exclusive community. The hypocrisy is enough to gag a maggot. The submarine Olympia was scheduled to make a port call to her home port city. The local left wing politicians saw fit to label the attack sub "a publicly financed killing machine". They then took a vote to neither endorse or disallow the home port visit. The local tree huggers were also up in arms over the "potential" hazards the nuclear powered sub would present to the eco-system. They also demanded to know the weapons load out of the boat. So it was pretty clear these were the same breed of folk who think the Angels fly F-16's. The Navy cancelled the port call. What they should do is change the name of the sub and say the hell with the liberal, left wing, scumbags living in Olympia |
