Default GP finishes

After reading an article in Kiwi Gliding by Ben Flewett regarding the CAA and their ruling on finish heights, the whole "gladiators of the sky" DVD has to be looked at again, with a different understanding of the rules, and how NOT to break them!
Would Mr Flewett please ( I know he is a RAS poster) enlighten the rest of the readers here as to what happened?
Many of the Northern Hemisphereheads will be missing out on a great side-script whislt watching the DVD!
Downwind, full ballasted, full energy finish line landings was almost the only legal option....... ah beauracracy!
