To Contest Director and Scribe Dick Butler: Thank you for the daily
reports! They are well written, fun to read, and full of good
information.

And, to Scorer Leo Buckley: Thank you for your work in getting the
scores out for all of us to see!

Of course, to my friend and mentor (although I must be his worst
student. Ever.) Ray Galloway: Great job with the weather!!!

Respectfully,

I second that. It's wonderful to see scores and reports even before
the logs are on the bonfire.

Figures I'm missing one of the best New Castle weather contests in a
year when I actually might have been able to make this work with my
schedule. Doh.

Another Amen. The reports were fantastic. I am glad to see the "long
MAT" version of the assigned task being tried out, I'm curious to hear
pilot reports on how it worked

The whole danged contest was fantastic. Mother nature helped out a
lot this year, but the contest organization was ready to take
advantage. We flew eight days in a row... an awful lot of it above
6500 feet.

Thank you Patty Smith for putting it all together, again! The whole
crew worked their tails off and it showed.

The long MAT works great.

Long MAT worked exactly as originally intended. Fast guys flew the
whole assigned task, really fast guys extended one more turn, and
slower guys dropped off a little short still getting speed points.
Just what we intended. Challanging task that doesn't crush the little
guy.
